The Definition Of Insanity

‘There is a fine line between perseverance and insanity. At what point have you tried your best and it’s time to do something different? It’s a balance–a paradox. If you get in the habit of giving up as soon as something gets difficult, your life won’t work. But if you keep tilting at windmills madly trying the same thing again and again, your life also won’t work.’

‘Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.’

Feel Deeply To Think Clearly

“Feel deeply to think clearly. It is through emotions that we are able to experience the significance of various facts or events or perceptions as they pertain to our well-being or the lack thereof. So emotions are means of experiencing the joy of life and the pain of life, the pleasure of love and the pain of love. My point being that when we give up our pretenses, our defenses, our worry about how people will perceive us or interpret what we have just said, if we are willing just to be simple and uncomplicated or put it out when it’s relevant to express one’s thoughts and feelings, then you have a mind that you can talk to and you can understand the other person better and vice versa.

The World You Desire

‘In the name of the best within you, do not sacrifice this world to those who are its worst. In the name of the values that keep you alive, do not let your vision of man be distorted by the ugly, the cowardly, the mindless in those who have never achieved his title. Do not lose your knowledge that man’s proper estate is an upright posture, an intransigent mind, and a step that travels unlimited roads. Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it’s yours.’
